You know, I entered this career to help people in a personal way. Along with the gift of doing this, the ideas of setting my own hours and working for myself were very attractive to me.
What I have learned is people who want massage usually do so after working “normal” hours, on weekends and holidays. I cannot, Really, set my own hours. That leaves me working on all those days and times of day when my partner is off work! (he has a “normal” hours job). I do, however, enjoy the weekdays to get things done, it seems so much quieter when the teenager is at school… At any rate, I AM working towards getting my clients to come to my ideal hours instead of me to theirs… I AM a commodity! A session with me IS worth an hour off work!
